Blacksmith Labs Bruno Grande

I have been looked for a good phone holster since I bought my iPhone 6 last year.  I started off with a not so cheap Best Buy special that didn't really fit well. My father-in-law received a nice Col. Littleton case for Christmas. While I liked the look of it, I didn't like the fact that it didn't have a belt clip.  Big guys, small work chairs, and non-movable belt holsters don't mix well.  I stumbled upon Blacksmith Labs this week.  They had a couple of nice holsters, the Barrett and Bruno.  Both were nice pieces of work and both had a 'Grande' option that specifically fit my iPhone and Otterbox Symmetry case.  I liked the look of the Bruno better and was able to find it on Amazon (gotta love Prime).

Made from a single piece of leather, the Bruno sports an all metal, heavy duty clip and metal ball stud closure.  I chose the cigar brown finish and chrome clip and button.  It fits my phone great.  Enough room to pull it out, but not flop around as I walk. Also, it looks good on the hip!

Destiny: The Taken King

I broke down and bought D:TTK.  I didn't' really want that booster box of Battle for Zendikar, did I?

So I'm working the the House of Wolves, Taken King, and for some reason, the original content.  I guess the quests reset do to the new version of the original game?

I'm enjoying it so far.  Still looking for that next great hand cannon and leveling up Stormcaller.  I'm not sure it was worth $60 a second time.  I guess time will tell.

The Taken King...or You've already Taken my money once, do I really want to pay you again?

I grabbed Destiny last year wanting it to be great.  I was disappointed in the amount of single player content, as I don't get a chance to play with others online much.  Still, I enjoyed the bounties and working hard to get Strange Coins to buy the next best gun.  Hell, I even bought the first DLC!

I've seen some of the new improvements for The Taken King (things that probably should have been in the year one release, but oh well).  I'm torn.  I've already shelled out $80 on this game.  I'm not sure I want to shell out another $60.  But I do need something to do between now and the November release of Fallout 4....

First Post!

Welcome to the Elder Geek blog!

As I have gotten older, I realized that I missed out on a lot of gaming fun in my youth.  I've been trying to make up for it over the last several years.  I'm an avid video gamer, board and card gamer, and most recently a table top RPG gamer.
